“Always be the first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else” Judy Garland. Its human nature to emulate successful people, but its best to avoid going overboard and thinking you have to live exactly like them. Remember to always be yourself, no one in this world can do a better job of being you than you can. You need to Love, respect and value yourself, You are a unique individual with a personal style of your own. It is ok to be who you are without having to make excuses for not matching up to a standard someone else invented.
Once you accept your true personality something wonderful happens. You finally start being yourself and feel more relaxed, people will also respond to you positively and you’ll experience much more fun and greater success in life.
“Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong, there are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
4 Tips To Improve Your Self-Worth
1. Whatever you do in life, somebody somewhere will still think you are doing it all wrong. These negatively focus people who have the unique ability to find the only weed in an acre of roses, tend to focus on the negative and act like that one nasty weed discounts the beauty of the entire garden of roses. Don’t ever allow people like this pull you down or stop you from achieving your goals.
2. There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout; This is me! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complex package. Take me or leave me, Accept me or walk away! Do not try to make me feel like I'm worthless, just because I don’t fit your idea of who I should be and don’t try to change me to fit your pattern.
3. Don’t ever rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth, Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself, no one else will be able to make that happen. There is no such thing as being perfect, Just be the best that you can be and you’ll be glad you did. Just because you are yet to achieve your goals or dreams doesn’t make you a failure. Stop all act of self-criticism, self-judgment, and self-destructive behavior.
4. Do not lose courage in considering your imperfections but instantly set about remedying them every day. Believe in yourself and what you want to achieve. Be strong and persistent in pursuing your goals. Be passionate and have faith, it's your life and only you can make it happen. Remember; only one person knows what is best for you and that is you!

ReplyDeleteThis is so important to remember in this day with social media consuming most of our lives and how much we want to be accepted. I was in a job once where I seeked the acceptance of my superior so much that I let her belittle me and my work. It led to a lot of resentment, because she was the type to find a weed in a garden of roses. Not saying I’m the best at my job, but I knew my worth was a lot more than what she was giving me. After leaving that job my work has improved even more!
