Baking soda is cheap and always readily available at home, I am sharing 5 easy and effective ways you can use it in your beauty routine.
Bath Soak :
Baking soda is effective in clearing away impurities from the skin, To get rid of irritations or just clear toxins out of your skin, run water in your bathtub and add ½ cup of baking soda. relax in the bathtub and let it sink into your skin to get rid of all the impurities, this should give you a clear skin and also relax your body. Doing this once a week will make your skin feel better and clearer.
Face Wash :
Clean your face with warm water first, then mix 1 tablespoon of raw honey and 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a bowl. Apply the mixture gently on your face, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes. This will not only give you a clean face, it also exfoliates your skin. Exfoliation takes away dead skin and makes you look younger. It will also help reduce blackheads and brighten up dull skin as well, try this out before investing in that expensive cleanser or facial wash
Skin Reliever:
Baking soda can help relieve your skin from sunburn or when your skin is too dry or itchy. Add ½ cup of baking soda to your warm bathing water and take your bath like you normally would, this will make your skin soft and smooth.
Hair Wash :
Baking soda is perfect for taking off all the build ups in your hair, from all the styling treatment you’ve used. Mix baking soda with your favorite shampoo and apply like you normally do. It cleanses up your hair better and also helps in getting rid of dandruff.
Pedicure:
Pamper your feets without going to the spa. Add warm water to a big bowl and ½ cup of baking soda and soak your feet in it. Leave for 15-30 mins in the water, then scrub off with a pumice stone to reveal a clean and smooth foot. Apply a little moisturizer to your whole feet to avoid dryness.
Do you use baking soda in your beauty routine in a way I have not listed above, share them with me in the comment box!
