4 Steps to a positive self-improvement

Having a positive lifestyle is easily said than done, there is so much negativity in the world that you just want to give up and embrace all that comes your way either good or bad. A positive outlook in self-improvement is surely possible and could make life better and enjoyable. Do not settle for negativity or try to bring yourself down.

To experience positive self-improvement, you have to love yourself and create an environment comfortable for you. Here are 4 easy steps you can take:



1. Value yourself; when you stoop too low, everyone steps on you. You begin to think everyone hates you, desperation kicks in because you want people to accept you no matter what. The fact is, not everyone will like you. Present yourself in the best possible way you can and let people decide if they want to mingle with you or not. Value yourself and don't waste your time on people that don't care about you at all, forcing yourself on others will make them disrespect you as much as they can.



2. Become better; sometimes we feel inferior to others because they are in a better position than we are, we begin to adjust our life to their way of life hoping to be like them or better. Stop this act of competitiveness with others, instead look inside you and decide to become a better version of yourself. Set your goals and keep improving on yourself, keep moving forward and strive to become better than your previous self.

3. Spread love and ignore hate; when others show us hatred, we feel so hurt we want retaliation. Remember that revenge is a 2 ways sword, it mostly ends up hurting both parties involved. People who spread hate actually hate themselves, don't let them drag you down with them and take away your peace. Return love with hate, welcome positive vibes only. When you can't for one reason or the other, Ignore and let go. I know it seems hard but you will be glad you did at the end.

4. Do what works for you and give you peace; When you meet successful people, the first thing that comes to mind is to learn from them and put it into practice. Most people end up feeling miserable because they are living in a way totally different from theirs. The best way to go about it is to learn as much as you can from others, then adjust accordingly. Living exactly how others live could end up as a disaster if it doesn't lead to success. If you adjust your way of life to fit into your new goals, your mind will be at peace and it will be a  more comfortable journey for you, even if you don't acquire the desired outcome.


Your mind is a powerful tool use it wisely, we mostly become what we think about so keep positive thoughts only.

  3. Step one is so crucial to any self-development. When I think back to where my own journey began, it was 100% with loving and appreciating myself. Valuing my gifts and all that I had to offer.
